Re: How do you activate WM (or HTC?) native lock?
I don't think that's what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for that sliding-lock that will help against unintended key/screen presses. The one you mentioned is a lock against unauthorized use by using a password. |

Have you tried holding down the right-side phone key?

You mean the red button with the power symbon on it?
Doesn't it turn off the power completely? |

usually that either locks the phone or brings up a menu with that as one of the options when held down.

Re: How do you activate WM (or HTC?) native lock?
OK... being on verizon, the end call and power button are one-and-the-same. What you need is the attached file. This will automatically enable the lock once the screen goes off (or wakes up).
Hope that helps! (file is not mine... please give credit to the creator daniel herrero) |

Works great and keeps phone from unintended screen hits (aka pocket dialing....or butt dialing to steal an old blackberry commercial line). Its lighter weight and uses less memory (around 1k when phone is idle vs. 2.42 s2u2 using ariund 200+k at idle).

I don't know what the Lock Device CAB does, but what I do is using a Registry Editor (Resco) I change the following key to 1:
/HKCU/ControlPanel/Keybd/DeviceLockWhenSuspend |
