Tethering TP2 on MetroPCS

I have the latest energyrom on my tp2 with the sim unlocked and a at&t prepaid card that is working fine.

Question 1: I cant get tethering to work...i tried the ics from the energyrom...the wifi and pdanet....the laptop connects to the phone but cant get to the internet....any settings im missing?? (btw internet, mms work fine on the phone)

Question 2: When i switch to the prepaid card and then back to metropcs the wap settings (connections / proxy server settings) are empty and i have to redo them ....anyway or any program to save/restore them?
