HTC TP2 dead?

Okay so the issue I have is that the phone will not power on properly. When I hit the power button nothing happens. Sometimes after about 2-3mins it will just randomly power on. I have also found that if I leave it plugged into either a PC or the AC and take out the battery and put it back in, the phone will just power on and then right back off.

What happen was I flashed task29 like I normally do when flashing a new rom and then flashed the latest energy rom. After this is when I started have issues.

After the ROM finishes flashing the phone will reboot like normal and show the "Touch Pro 2" screen and then just power right off.

What I have tried:

1. Re-flashed task29 and then Energy ROM multiple times
2. Let the phone sit overnight while plugged into the AC with battery in
3. Let the phone sit overnight without the battery in
4. Attempted to flash from SD card but the phone would power off in the middle of flashing!

It seems the phone is bricked but I don't know how because I have flashed with task29 and different ROMS in the past with no issues. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

put it into bootloader mode and flash the stock rom http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=91940

Also take out your memory card and see if it is still happening.

+1 on the SD card being an issue.

I am not sure why exactly, but it seems the SD card can cause quite a few issues, and removing the SD card seems to usually fix (some) random issues.

I've noticed a pattern...you using the Energy Rom in all of these instances. Try flashing the stock ROM on the phone and see if the problem goes away. Also if this is the case and it still happens with the stock rom you may have a bad phone or bad power button. If you have insurance on the phone...take it into a Sprint Repair center and have them talk a look at it.

Well it doesn't look good. I flashed the stock ROM from USB without the SD card in and then booted the phone without the SD card and it exhibits the same issue.

So unless anyone has any other ideas, I think the phone is bricked basically.

I wonder if the battery could be the issue?

did u try the stock sprint rom or VZW rom? since your using a Sprint TP2 on VZW... might need to try the other
