Re: Windows Mobile 6.5 on Touch Pro 2
The TP2 was never really meant for Windows Mobile 6.5...it's way to slow to handle it. The HD2 on the other hand works just fine with 6.5...the overall speed of the TP2 just doesn't muster with it....sadly...I have Sprint and I'm about to downgrade to 6.1 again...just so I have some speed...

Re: Windows Mobile 6.5 on Touch Pro 2
I removed everything from the folder \windows\startup\ after that the device did run fine.
I still have the backuped files. |

Re: Windows Mobile 6.5 on Touch Pro 2
Sense UI is a catastrophe on the TP2. Everyone seems to have the same lag/freeze issues on all carriers. If you want a quick fix, I suggest disabling Sense all together (settings>today>items). Try "Pocket Digital Clock" Today Plugin as a light-weight alternative. Here is my TP2 screen shot:

Also, keep the number of messages and emails stored on your phone to a minimum, they can *really* impact your phone's performance ( as in put it in a coma! ).

Re: Windows Mobile 6.5 on Touch Pro 2
I agree with ChrisH09..the stock 6.1 rom tweaked gives better efficiency and stability. I started out with 6.1, tryed 6.5 for awhile...got tired of all the bugs, then reverted.

Re: Windows Mobile 6.5 on Touch Pro 2
To disable Sense, first hit "settings", then hit "menu", "All Settings", then "today". Then switch to "items" tab and uncheck "Sense." Done.
