Re: Windows Mobile 6.5 on Touch Pro 2
I have to wonder if this is a TP2 issue only and why. My Tilt 2 is running WM6.5 and TF3D 2.1. It's no speed demon, but I have yet to have it freeze on me to the point of needing to remove the battery and reset it. Freezing seems to be a common complaint on the AT$T site reviews of this phone. I also haven't had many of the problems so many of the CDMA users seem to have. I have modded the heck out of my phone and have over 50 applications installed on it and except for a few issues with some poorly done cabs, it runs great. Way better than my Incite and I loved that phone. I bought my Tilt 2 new off someone on Craig's List and I couldn't be happier (got to keep my $15 unlimited data plan). I've finally got the taskbar and slider mods how I want them and while there aren't as many mods as for Sense 2.5, I think it looks pretty good.

Re: Windows Mobile 6.5 on Touch Pro 2
pretty sure most good antivirus will detect the coding as a possible trojan, since the commands contained are not your typical application.
if it's posted on this site and has many downloads, it shouldn't be malware. we're pretty quick on weeding anything close to that out of here.

Its not a trojan, avg just sucks something fierce. the only thing avg seems to detect is false positives.

Re: Windows Mobile 6.5 on Touch Pro 2
Does not negate the truth though.
I work with machines daily that have avg on them, and are massively infected. The only thing avg detects is most tech tools as trojans or malicious scripts. It's inability differ between a U-packed EXE (the HSPL) and a malicious bit of code is just another note of its poor ability to function as a useful antivirus. As the old adage goes, you get what you pay for. |
