how do you copy WM contacts to Android??

I should be picking up a DroidX this week.

I will be keeping my TP2 (for now anyway)as I LOVE it, but how do I copy the contacts/phone numbers from my TP2 to the X??

I have never used an Android phone & will be learning it from scratch.

I think the best way would be to sync your contact's with a gmail account. I am pretty sure you can do this with outlook.

i gree setup a active sync via gmail and when u login to ur new droid x will will auto pull all the contacts (cuz u have to login into gmail to use the market place)

i use xandroid, and i use exchange with google and it syncs contacts to both WM and Android for me..

the issue for me was getting my contacts to google to begin with though.. i used a program called thunderbird(free) so i could import my pim.vol to google site(google doesnt use pim)..

How the heck do I sync my phone #'s with a gmail account??

I've been trying, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it??

Thanks, but i already read that & the "edit server setting" option is grayed out & won't let me select it.

I don't use outlook (but I could install it if I need to), do I have to have it installed to do this??

Hmm... I don't believe you have to, when you go into activesync is it possible for you to do anything like this:


Then click Menu



Then click "Add Server Source..."



I'm not sure exactly why it would be grayed out...
