Faster net speed? Need help

Hey everyone, i just recently picked up my touch pro 2 last weekend and i did a few speed test on the net with it and im only getting like 400kb download, Most of the time i have Evdo where i live, Im running it on boost mobile but im guessing its connecting to the sprint pcs network, Ive seen alot of people on here with like 3mb download speeds and im wondering how they are getting them, if there is something i need to download and install on my phone please let me know, and also Id like to know how to get faster speeds! Thanks!

Cody, doing a quick search I came up with the following thread, although I know there are others out there. Take a read through the thread, it talks about different browsers giving you different results, I can confirm that, and even different settings at different test sites giving you different readings. There are so many variables involved and unless you are side by side with someone performing the exact same test, speeds won't be the same. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=110288&highlight=speed+test

is Boost even 3G?? im willing to bet Boost only gives you 2G speeds on their web..

..even Sprint still has 2G speeds available

No i have 3g, when i go to do a speed test it shows that i have sprint pcs and it shows my ip, i did a prl update lastnight and it helped, I mostly always have Evdo connection speed, and now since the prl update im seeing like 400-800 kbs and last night it tested at 2700kbs
