Frequent screen on and off

I am using Windows Mobile 6.5 from EnergyROM. It seems that whenever there's transition between 1X and EVDO, screen is turned-on by itself. It causes a lot of annoyance. If anyone knows how to disable the FEATURE, can you please let me know?
