MR FF Battery Life

How is the battery life on MightyRom's Full Force (6.5.5)? I've taken a liking to 6.5.X but the battery life on NRG Standard Sense 6.5.5 is horrible. The battery drains quickly, I browsed the web for about an hour or so this morning and the battery was near dead in the next hour. I would like 6.5.5 rom with battery life similar to MightyRom 6.5 release.I would do my usual morning browsing an only be down to 90%... by the end of day with texting, browsing, and few phone calls I would still have around 30-40% left.

Re: MR FF Battery Life

Careful . . MighyROM is sacred around these parts. However, I have noticted similar battery drain, but not to the extent you have. There did seem to be a noticiable decreae in battery performance starting with the May 1 release of the MightyROMS (for me at least) which has continued up to and including the current build. These are my observations of my phone only. Others in the MR thread boast about charging their phone weekly, but I need to charge mine daily. I can squeeze 24-36 hours out of the battery occassionally, but not with heavy or even normal usage. I doubt this helps, you could try posting in the MR thread (so could I for that matter).

Hands down if you are looking for a ROM that has the battery life as MM and the eye candy of NRGZ then I would definitely recommend VIN's Pluto!! Man I have fell in love with his ROMs. I dont think Ive flashed another ROM since. He doesnt update everyday or every other day so you can enjoy your phone for a week or even months before you have to reflash. The battery life is amazing as far as 6.5.x. I had my phone in my pocket for over 24 hours and I only charged it because I was about to use my GPS. I browsed the web, text constantly, but made very few phone calls. Maybe 4 or 5 through out the day lasting about 5 minutes each, but the fact that I had a phone off the charger for over 24 hours on a 6.5.x build was amazing to me. I would definitely try VIN's latest Pluto. I just flashed his newest and the eye candy is great as always. And the speed and battery life are about to be tested today, but his previous ROMs have always been great in that area. Definitely try it if you havent. Not to bash any cook, but when it comes to ROM cooking I gotta say Vin is definitely my favorite of them all. And trust me Ive tried them all. I love MM for his speed and battery. I love NRGZ for his up to date software and eye candy. I didnt like MM because he didnt update his ROM with the most recent stuff as often as the rest of the cooks, and I didnt like NRGZ cuz my phone would die in like 4 or 5 hours at times. I have no complaints with VIN....other than he cant make my TP2 spit out cash when I press one of the hard keys. I talked to him about it and he confirmed that he is working on it but is not making any promises! LOL. Check it out....I doubt you will be displeased.

Re: MR FF Battery Life

I get the same battery life pretty much from all roms.....not all cooks add all the tweaks in....there are many to add that will improve life...NRGY does not add any as he does not care about battery life when cooking....he has expressed this many times...some people that boast about 48 hours and more cannot be using there phones very much...I am a heavy texter and phone user all the way around....24 hours is what I get on most roms....but if I listen to music on Wunderradio or Slacker for a few hours that number will go down significantly...basically I make sure my phone lasts the day....search through the forum there are threads dedicated to battery management...and another key is grab a spare battery....I always have one fully charged....but to answer your initial question...without adding anything to MM FF my battery life was great...

Re: MR FF Battery Life

I have been running FF since it was beta and I have never had battery issues, I would say that I am not a hardcore user but a step above moderate use. I put my phone on the charger every night ether way but it's usely sitting at around 50%ish when I do and thats from about 7 in the morning till about 11 at night.

Re: MR FF Battery Life

I'm not bashing any cook, all roms are good for what they designed for. I flashed NRG because I like how he has the latest Sense and components. I like MightyRom because it well rounded (fast, stable, great battery life). I'm not too concerned with eye candy, if the rom has it great, but if it doesnt... it just doesn't *shrugs*. I will try VIN's pluto and MightyRom FF.

Anyone notice video playback under 6.5.5 is a lot smoother (atleast on NRG Standard Sense rom)? I thought it would be slower but it gets better FPS with Coreplayer. No more tearing at the beginning of the video (usually tv eps and download youtube mp4 videos)

Thanks all.

Piggy backing on young pro's post re: Vin's 6.5.x ROMs battery life.

I am running the NRG standard 23569 ROM & CorePlayer works fine except for the video out. Video out shows blue flashing so bad it is unwatchable, so I have to use Album for that.

Album is better for MP4 (h.264) playback anyway as it gives hardware accelleration & Core does not.
