Re: WIFI as non anhoc
The reason companies lock you out of ad-hoc networks is because there are a lot of hackers out there who share their internet on their laptop as 'Free Public WiFi' then capture/sniff all the traffic of the people who think it's "legit" - all the while capturing any weak and clear-text passwords, as well as unsecured laptop file security.
If you know enough not to connect to those things, ad-hoc is just fine. Restore the registry when you're done with your cell phone and work is none the wiser. :P Then again, I know our IT guy. |

Re: WIFI as non anhoc
hahahahaha. no. sorry we got off track! as far as any of us know, tp2 is only capable of adhoc, not infrastructure. the latest android tethering program will though. to point you in the closest direction, try to dual boot andriod and go at it that way. it prolly wont work though. thats my only idea.

Re: WIFI as non anhoc
if you have a windows seven computer or laptop you can use connectify, i have not seen a direct way to share with an infrastructure mode but with connectifity you can plug the tp2 into the computer with usb and use the computers as a wifi hotspot here is the link http://www.connectify.me/
