Re: anyone try a Touchstone mod on a TP2?

has anyone found good contact points for this yet? i opened mine up tonight but couldn't find anything and didn't want to just start guessing. Also theres articles online about putting stronger magnets in so i wouldn't worry about that.

I did it :)

I used desolder braid as contact points bewteen the phone and the cover.
Works like a charm :) Just make sure that all the wires are isolated from
each other.

I also did my NDSi too!!

Pics! (sorry for some of the blurrycam ones... Mogul did it!)

This is where the Positive side of the touchstone inductance charger connection goes...
http://i427.photobucket.com/albums/p...IMG_8185-1.jpg
The negative side can be just about anywhere on the mainboard that has a gold section on it.
Make sure you test it with a multimeter with the charger cable plugged in to be sure.
And if you don't have a DMM, Go get one ya goof!

I ran all the wires nice and neat inside too.
But the contacts on the back of the phone
that connect to the back cover are kinda
messy at the moment. Waiting for some
conductive stickyback fabric/tape to make
it look all professional. Enjoy!

i tore mine back apart just now and know there is NO way i'm going to be able to solder on that positive connection. thanks for the pictures, might have to find someone local that knows what they're doing.

Is there any other spots on the board that would work??
