Question Auto Backlight

When any of you turn on your TP2 from sleep and you have auto backlight enabled, does it go bright then drill down to the appropriate setting? This is a replacement one and I do not remember my original TP2 doing this. It makes my eyes hurt when I turn it on to read a txt or check a call in the middle of night. Just want to know if this is just me trying to find a nitpicky problem with this phone or if its just inherent. If it is I guess I will just set it to a manual screen brightness, but I did not have to do this with my first TP2 (which lasted since November) or the other replacements (this is the 4th one, all for different issues, except one of them had auto backlight problems but it would flicker among other issues).

Re: Auto Backlight

Yea I turn off the auto blacklight, because it annoys me as well. I think its just for battery life purposes. I just keep my blacklight on low all the time. My keyboard is auto sensored though, i find that useful.
