question on HDMI video out??

I use my TP2 in my truck hooked with the video out cable to my 7' DVD/NAV screen. This works awesome from SlingBox, MP4 (h.264) movies etc etc

I am considering buying the DroidX (I reserved one with VZ), but I was wondering how I can connect the HDMI out up to my truck system. (It uses component in cable IIRC)

Can I use something like this??

i dont see why it wouldnt work. just make sure for the cable you get a micro hdmi to hdmi cable. seems some of the evo guys bought wrong ones.

yea, that's what I was waiting for (that, & a 4.3" screen)

I really don't care about the keyboard as I use TouchPal 99% of the time anyway & I see that also works in Android now.

I'm not totally clear on movie playback, will Android play all my h.264/MP4, .mpv etc. DVD rip movie files??

i know for h264/mp4s, im honestly not sure on the rest though. i remember seeing a thread about this in the evo forum i will see if i can find it
