settings>system>update profile... worth a shot.. sprint can also reprovision it over the phone by having you reenter the ##codes and making sure your Meid and such are correct... gotta call from another device or landline though so you can do it with them... the live online people on sprint can do it as well..

yeah it's not a phone problem. it's the provisioning on the phone. i had the same problem when i activated my tp online on my second line. didn't have data and sprint was not help. they'll most likely have you do a ##DATA# reset. but you'll need your MSL for it. sprint can give that code for you.

I agree with the others. My TP2 had a similar issue and updating profile worked for me. As far as a comment about the provisioning the account, that is also valid. I have a user at work who buys a brand new Blackberry at least twice a year. Within the past two years, he had the same issue with Sprint. I don't know how they keep missing to provision the account correctly, this was the 4th time in 2 years that he showed up with the phone and data didn't work. The guys that answer the phone when you first call, usually can't resolve the issue... so, if updating profile doesn't resolve the issue, then ask your friend to call a carrier tech support and ask to escallate the issue to the next level of support until data issue is resolved.
They will probably ask to do a soft reset and suggest doing a hard reset also..... |
