Re: Best and Fastest Roms

Sprint Stock must be head and shoulders better than VZW's stock. I don't know Sprint's stock, but i would have definitely said if you had VZW stock, i'd take you up on that offer any day.

Stock is the best.. never have to worry about compatiblitity issues(will this or that work on my ROM)... dont have to disable this to get that to work..

Wirelessly posted (TP2: Opera/9.80 (Windows Mobile; WCE; Opera Mobi/WMD-50433; U; en) Presto/2.4.13 Version/10.00)

I've been using the S3 Rom for a while and its great. I'm on version R11.5 which is basically an super version of the sprint stock rom..sort of.

Re: Best and Fastest Roms

Wow! There seems to be a lot of roms out there! So if I change the rom every week, will I need to essentially do a hard reset? It would be annoying to have to continue reinstalling stuff and setting up the phone if I did it weekly.

Re: Best and Fastest Roms

Also, I've been hearing that the 2.1 sense roms run faster and more smoothly than the 2.5 sense roms. Is this true? Is there a big difference in performance and feel? Thanks!

Re: Best and Fastest Roms

Was wondering the same thing thanks for you being the one to ask OP. I've been on NRG's ROM but the battery drain is becoming annoying so Im looking around for a new one now.

Re: Best and Fastest Roms

Sprint 6.1 Stock ROM is the fastest, IMO. MightyROM is really good. vin's ROMs are pretty good, but they deviate a little from the "stock experience" look and feel, which kinda turns me off to them. For me, it's a lot easier to add customizations than to take them away.

I the the bottom line is, you're not going to find anything much smoother than the newest MightyROM flavors.

It's kindof a given that Sense 2.1 is faster. We can quibble over WM 6.1 vs 6.5 -- 6.5 has better memory management -- but it's requirements are also a little more intensive. I personally find 6.1 is faster, but don't fool with it anymore because the UI graphics are so dated.

Re: Best and Fastest Roms

OK.
Are we all in agreement that a combination of 6.5 and 2.1 is the fastest combination ?????

If so, can people post the download links for the most up-to-date versions of the fastest & most stable 6.5/2.1 ROMs ????

Thank you.

Re: Best and Fastest Roms
