I called sprint and asked for ADVANCE TECHNICAL SUPPORT as soon I can.

I told them my problems. Its still under manufacturers warranty, had them send me a replacement. After three replacements they offered me a different phone. Not the TP2

I told them that I want a slide out keyboard and a windows based phone and it has to be equal or greater phone then the TP.

Then they offered me the Tp2. They were reluctant but I got mine FOR FREE!

LUCKY!!!!!!!! Every time I call, they say that they can only replace it with the same device because the system will not allow them and all that crap!!!

Well let them replace it then!

They said that same thing to me, I got three replacements then they finially said "Looks like you can upgrade"

They gave me a list of phones and the TP2 wasn't one of them. He even said "theres one more" when I told them that the phones on the list dont measure up to the TP.

I asked him whats the "Theres one more" mean and he told me to hold on...

He tried to push another phone on me but I wouldn't budge, then he finially gave me the TP2

Idk maybe a 3 months or so..

The cool thing is that My friend gave me the mogul. I got the TP from the store for free because they couldn't fix the mogul. Then I called Advance technical support for the TP2 still for free =D>

I was never able to get one for free. I had the keyboard issue on the TP 3 different times but I always went into the store and each time they replaced the keyboard. The charging port stopped working a few months ago but because it was physically damaged I had to file a claim thru asurion. When I filed the claim my only option was to get the TP2, they didn't even offer the TP.

they keyboard was inoperable and i called in. (few months ago) they offered me all the available phones that had a hardware keyboard. tp2, pre, pre pixi..etc. no hassle, it was my 3rd tp1 replacement. received my new tp2 in 2 days with an extra battery to boot.

the reason i asked is that from what the op posted, they've only had 2 replacements. i had 9, called *2 (i didn't want to go back to the store either :)), and was told to take it to a repair store. they took 5 mins looking at it, then ordered a brand new tp2. most of the people who called *2 were either given another tp, or told that they could get a tp2 if the warehouse had them. i found it easier to go to the repair store.

i did. you have to take your tp1 in 5 times for them to automatically do it.

as everyone said already ... if you`ve had 3 or more replacements you need to demand an upgrade, but your best bet is to form a relationship with a store thats how i got mine after a few crapped out.

I only had one touch pro, had very few problems with it, but noticed people were getting the free upgrade for the tp2 so I called sprint, told them I was having a lot of problems with my touch pro.

exact things I complained about was :
calls dropping randomly,
no service inside of my house,
keyboard will randomly stop working, have to soft reset. sometimes it stops working for a couple of hours.

the lady apologized and said we'd have to replace it with a TP2 or a palm pre.
I accepted her apology and got my TP2 for free!

I did...I called them very upset about a third touch pro failing in less than a year, and demanded an upgrade...got the touch pro 2...initially I was going to have to pay the difference in price, but after more complaining, I got that fee waived as well, and maintained my ability to upgrade the phone less than 2 later...and I held off for a few more months and got my Evo at a regular upgrade/new customer/premier price...so now I have a semi-functional touch pro and fully functional touch pro 2 sitting on the desk at home...the touch pro is useless to me, but I have 3 batteries for it, the TP2 is a fabulous battery charger for the Evo (same battery)...
