Changing roms on a mac/Error 266

I want to change my rom on my mac. how do i do this? i tried installing windows on my mac and kept getting error 266 while trying to update. it wouldnt work. i was thinking it is possibly because mac is just not meant to run windows... im not sure. but could someone tell me either how to change rom on mac or fix error 266 on windows?

for error 266, i got all the way to the tri colored screen and than it stopped...
