Weather location

On a stock ROM from Verizon, I noticed my weather location changed. No matter what I do it won't let me change the default to the correct city.

Without downloading 3rd party apps, does anyone know how to change the default? Everything I've tried doesn't seem to work (including registry hacks).

Re: Weather location

are you using GPS to set your current location? you should be able to add locations manually but i've found not all citys are listed GPS gets you closest.

Re: Weather location

You mean QuickGPS? I did use that. But I am positive when I set my location originally, it stayed as that location regardless. So using QuickGPS updates to where I actually am at any given time?

Re: Weather location

OK try this. tap the clock on your home tab. if you have selected "My Location" your using GPS for your time and weather. if you want to add locations manually you can from there or from the weather tab by clicking "menu" then "add location". hope this helps

Re: Weather location

Yes I have "My Location" selected. My city of origin is not listed as a location. I'm not sure why it showed the correct city before. Maybe because I'm using GPS. I hadn't really noticed. I'll try updating when I am at another location and see if indeed GPS is working properly.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Weather location

Try a PRL update, i know sprint just released a new PRL update and it updated my location to the correct one.

try in the system folder PRL update then update profile... if those icons are even available...

settings>all settings>system>PRL update...then Update profile
