yea, that's what I meant-thanks.

There is no need to install an app for this, just go to this site, enter your zipcode & bookmark it.

I click that link in Opera Mobile5 & it opens almost instantly, gives the most accurate forecasts that I have found & has animated radar.

I have tried everything listed in this post (GPSradar/weatherbug etc). This loads faster than any program & does EVERYTHING.

No problem =)

And yeah it works wayyyy better, and obviously uses less resources since you're not downloading anything...

tried this and it gives a link for animated radar, but the radar didn't animate.

Currently playing with both the weather radar tab mod that 123sit posted and gps radar that fishingmedic suggested. both are really really cool. only issue in have with the weather radar tab is the lunar info is not working (cool ufo graphic though) and gps radar stops the automatic update when the backlight goes out and the screen locks.

I use the National Weather Service Enhanced Radar Image Loop which is a National Mosaic - Full Resolution at 3400x1700 pixels

I use this link on Skyfire because it is the only browser on any smartphone that actually loads it. Its great for live radar.

http://radar.weather.gov/Conus/index_loop.php (low resolution)
http://radar.weather.gov/Conus/full_loop.php (highest resolution)

If you also go to www.weather.com using Skyfire you can view the live radar there to.

mcop10 - please post some instructions for this. I used the same basic instructions as for WinMO 6.1 and it had some VERY unstable results in WinMo 6.5 . thanks

I am a big fan of weatherpanel. Have been using it since my i760. First thing I did when I got my TP2 was find a way to continue using weatherpanel. Took some patience and I had to edit one of the skins to take advantage of the extra space on WVGA screen but it came out nicely. Here is a pic of weathepanel integrated into sense replacing the standard weather tab:

I will try and get a tutorial post up sometime soon.

Since I was no longer using the HTC weather I also found a way to remove it from the home page for a cleaner look:

weather panel running in a 2nd today screen works well also.

~John

I use this in its weather console component as a button on the home screen, but how do you set up a second home page? That would seem to be very convenient.

There was a link posted in this thread for putting the GPS Weather Radar on a Sense tab, replacing what was already there, which uses the 2nd home technique. I used to do this with WeatherPanel, but, as mentioned above, that was on WinMo 6.1 and didn't work so well on WinMo 6.5. Hopefully we'll get an update with updated directions.

I am an old fan of this program and think I have all the old installs. This was developed by a guy named Martian who suddenly went AWOL a few years ago, right? I always invert Pocket Weather and Weather Panel (PW) vs (WP)... Have used them both a lot, as a pilot. Your screen looks great.

Do you have two home pages that you switch? The person above here was using that approach for WP, will try to follow instructions, which appear to be outdated.... Looks complex. If I have the time today will mess with it and put up some clear instructions.

Just bookmark a animated radar image from wunderground, or a few other places. Check out the radar links I have on my public bookmark page:
http://m.mn-c.com/

YOu can edit this link to show you radar by coordinates and set your resolution:

went back and tried m.wund.com animated radar in opera 9.7 and SUCCESS! It does animate while opera mini5 does not. guess I have found a use for opera mobile after all.
