Re: Enable faster data... anyone ever get this to work?

I have been synching these devices for many years and Windows 7 Pro has been the easiest ever for me. If you are having problems, try the bluetooth. I find this works very fast also. Or re-establish the partnership.

One trick is do not interrupt a synch in process, or you have a >50% chance of having to resynch all your contacts... and if you do this... you also lose the fine points for e-mail synching, i.e. what folders synch (a pain).

Re: Enable faster data... anyone ever get this to work?

Windows 7 works fine with the faster data enabled. You usually have to disable it for the first time you connect it to the Windows 7 computer, so that it can download and install the appropriate drivers. Then from that point on, you can enable the faster data connection and it will work flawlessly, I connect my phone to 3 Windows 7 computers, and absolutely none of them have given me any trouble.
