activesync icon stuck in the taskbar

The activesync icon seems to be stuck on my taskbar(using energy rom) and I dont even use activesync. It only pops up when there is a data connection and it covers my reception signal icon. It started when I removed the sim card. Any ideas? do i have to hard reset? thanks in advance.

Re: activesync icon stuck in the taskbar

Yeah, when its first starting up I see the "no sim card icon" for less than a second, then it goes to the regulat reception signal, then when it connects to data it goes to the green activesync icon with the arrows.
