Disable 4 Hard Button Backlight

Does anyone know how to keep the hardware keys below the screen from lighting up when I press them? I guess it's not a big deal, but I use the keys for a lot of things, and it just annoys me when they light up, and probably wastes just a little battery. It's useless for them to be lit AFTER I've pressed it, you know? It's like it's yelling saying "OMG HI YOU JUST PRESSED ME!" lol

+1 to this question.
I have looked for a solution over xda but without success.
Also the intensity of the button backlight is very high which is a little bit unnecessary.
But on the other hand I guess we should be happy that somebody havent programmed these buttons in such way that they lit-up whenever the screen is on

BTW could you point what else do you do with the hard buttons? I can't find them very useful besides answering/ending a call.

Lol, I have a cab file that will turn the button lights on when the screen is on. I guess it's the opposite of what you're looking for.

^^that's funny. Perhaps they could change the HEX or what ever values you used to make the buttons turn off.
