User customization backup

I have been hearing about User Customization Backup as an alternative to conventional backup programs like SPB backup. How does this work?
I just flashed Energy ROM to my phone and as always, it takes forever to re-install my programs, copy over my registry values for my games so that I have my saved games and registrations copied, re-installing everyhing is such pain, and customizing everything.

I am thinking of trying either Mr. X Rom or Mighty ROM, but I do not want to go through the pain of installing and customizing everything.

Re: User customization backup

search for xda uc and read up on it. basically you just put all your apps into a folder on your sd card and it autoinstalls all of them for you. you can also save some of your other settings like email setup, etc. as an xml file and it will set those also.
