I mean it worked though despite being beat up...from 1 bad night with it awhile ago. But all of a sudden like a spot came up on the screen...and bam hasn't worked since

So take it to one of the stores and talk Nicely with one of the reps. Nice always goes a lot further.

hi everyone i dropped my phone in the toilet right before i flushed so it had some brown on it i was told to put it in the freezer to get it to work and it turned on but it wont make calls so i took it to vzw today and they replaced it fo free and it still had some brown on it lol o well..... jk

I guess it all depends on who you approach in the store for a problem. I walked in and they immediately asked if I had Asurion coverage, I did, and was given the 1-800 number to have it replaced. Lots of physical damage on my phone though, but they didn't even ask to see it.

To the OP. Verizon has stopped that policy. If they really just gave you one for free with out upgrading your contract , you are very lucky.
Reason verizon stop doing this was because people had "How" to get verizon to upgrade me to a better phone. Verizon did not have to upgrade the devices but they did because of there great customer service. Know they just sound like t-mobile CS department.
