Marking Emails as Read from HTC Sense Tabs

I am curious about the email system.

With the TP2, WM6.5, and HTC Sense, there are the "Sense UI Tabs", where you have the Home Tab, the SMS Tab, the Weather Tab, the Email Tab, etc. I have 7 different accounts the feed into my phone, and often get a dozen or more emails daily.

Currently, when an email arrives, I go to the "Email Tab" and can view the initial header of the email and some of the text, for any of my accounts. But to mark the Email's as "Read" (so the little 1,2,3 #s on the account disappear) I have to either tap the email to "Open" it, or go into the Inbox for that Account and proceed with a "Menu | Select | Several, Menu | Mark as Read"
The TP1 with the D-Pad control and Shift/Ctrl buttons allowed me to select multiple messages and mark them as read, but I was more wondering if there is a way that I can "Mark all Unread Messages As Read" from the Email Tab Screen, without having to actually VIEW the email or OPEN the Inbox.

Most times, I know what the emails are, and just prefer to be notified. Other times I actually have to respond from the phone, but when they are just newsletters and other notifications, the current system is rather time consuming just to mark the email as "read" in the system.

Thanks
