Marking Emails as Read from HTC Sense Tabs

I am curious about the email system.

With the TP2, WM6.5, and HTC Sense, there are the "Sense UI Tabs", where you have the Home Tab, the SMS Tab, the Weather Tab, the Email Tab, etc. I have 7 different accounts the feed into my phone, and often get a dozen or more emails daily.

Currently, when an email arrives, I go to the "Email Tab" and can view the initial header of the email and some of the text, for any of my accounts. But to mark the Email's as "Read" (so the little 1,2,3 #s on the account disappear) I have to either tap the email to "Open" it, or go into the Inbox for that Account and proceed with a "Menu | Select | Several, Menu | Mark as Read"
The TP1 with the D-Pad control and Shift/Ctrl buttons allowed me to select multiple messages and mark them as read, but I was more wondering if there is a way that I can "Mark all Unread Messages As Read" from the Email Tab Screen, without having to actually VIEW the email or OPEN the Inbox.

Most times, I know what the emails are, and just prefer to be notified. Other times I actually have to respond from the phone, but when they are just newsletters and other notifications, the current system is rather time consuming just to mark the email as "read" in the system.

Thanks

Re: Marking Emails as Read from HTC Sense Tabs

Yea unfortunately people have been searching for a while to figure out how to mark something as read or mark several messages as read from the Sense interface, but there's nothing so far (here or on XDA). The safe inbox extender is your best bet - it's better than nothing

+1 on safebox extender but you do have to go to your inbox to use it . there is nothing for the Sense tab to mark as read. I have been looking around for this for like a month with no luck.

Re: Marking Emails as Read from HTC Sense Tabs

Keyboard controller!!!!
Now that sounds interesting. The one thing that I did not like about the TP2 right away was the missing CTRL button. (CTRL+C,V,X are Windows standards, as well as CTRL+Left,Right for word jumping and i used them A LOT on the TP1).
Where can I find this Keyboard controller to map the "Email" button on the keyboard to actually be CTRL...that would be a godsend.
Thanks
