Which is why it's good to have nav prog w/ dataset on yr phone like igo or garmin
Thanks for the insight, I was not aware of those differences. You just added to my body of knowledge. +1

You would be surprised at how few people understand the differences between the GPS functions of Sprint Nav, Bing, Gmaps, etc. versus Iguidance, iGo, etc. which can be stand alone systems. I think many people understood it better when Palm and Window phones would have to buy the separate GPS bluetooth puck to go with a Memory card. When it became available on the phones themselves we didn't get the memo on the differences...LOL
Consider yourself one of the lucky minority along with others who have offered positive insight to this topic who have been able to decipher the differences. Now I can join that minority and educate others in a positive manner.

Re: Best Navigation Software for TP2?

Got Igo8.3 installed w/ TTS. Worked great s0 far. See separate thread for detail.

Was using Igo2006 on TP but couldn't get that to work so I had to upgrade to Ig08.3

Re: Best Navigation Software for TP2?

The Bing app is pretty good, although the Bing app can be really stupid sometimes when it's trying to find your destination.

I just made a 1500+ Mile trip (got back an hour ago) using the Free Bing app. Worked well for me.

Guess that's proof of sprint network coverage being real good?!

Just pray you don't get to areas w/ no EvDo signal, then bing is useless
