Try mr.x's rom. htc sense is fast as heck for me and i felt the same way with my touch pro with the stock rom.

Well said everyone...except the OP. Learn to use your device dude. This device puts the TP1 to shame, and just needs a little tweaking to enable top performance. Want something to work out the box, go get an iphone or Blackberry. These devices are made to be tweaked.

It may be that I'm too impatient to work through the sludge to tweak the device until it runs at peak performance. But all my applications run smoothly out-of-the-box. The idea of producing something that "requires" tweaking to run optimally is poor design. When I write a program, it runs perfectly or I don't release it.
