Is this a Co0kie Home Tab "feature"?

It's more due to sense 2.5 and quick links on the home tab, than CHT (in my experience). All animations seemed to be slower with the quick links. You can even tell the difference if the quick links aren't assigned (just empty boxes) in both stock and CHT. Once assigned, animations are more apt to lag.

it's everything on your home page, even having the calendar appointment, call history, etc... slows it down.

the main question is, why does it lag sooooo much when it rains?? every other animation runs at full speed.

btw. i've NEVER seen the wiper animation run at full speed(weather demo speed) on any touch pro 2, even if you swipe down twice(blank screen on CHT), it will never run at full speed

Agreed...I tried this and there is a fairly significant difference in performance since having removed my home screen quick links.

I'd say that the rain animation is rather graphic intensive compared to the other weather animations.

You can also set the quick links to one page and set the unused ones to dissapear, that might speed things up a little bit.
