Sigh, all I want to do is lock the phone with the top button...

The search function is not playing nice.... S2SU sucked, texts seems to wake my phone, and the magnet case had a great time with the phone.

I ran the change for the magnet, but it still wakes in my pouch. I just want to hit the top button and put it to sleep unless I get a call or text notification , and yet keep the screen off untill I press the top button again.

Re: Sigh, all I want to do is lock the phone with the top button...

Smartlock 1.7E FTW. Better than LockDevice because it includes an incall/outcall lock. Otherwise if you use a headset or car kit, placing or answering a call will leave the phone unlocked in your pocket, which is the same problem you've been having all along.

Used to swear by pocketshield for the TP, but I've been testing the proximity version lately and I've seen a lot of instability with it. The other day I was trying to turn on the TP2 and it wouldn't go past the proximity sensor lock screen for about 10 on-off cycles. Uninstalled it and things started working perfectly again. I wish I had time to troubleshoot more...Pocketshield is interesting and has great support, but I think feature creep may be causing issues there. The program's functionality has expanded massively over the last year.

Wow that's actually the smartest suggestion I've ever seen haha.

I use the keymapper to map tons of stuff (double click mute to go landscape, double click back for alt + tab...)

I like this option the best because it doesnt use any additonal software. I have keyboard config, but not quite sure how to go about this.

thanks for all the suggestions so far!
