I got this to work by installing the cab in the DeviceLock.zip (found on XDA-Developers) which triggers the HTC device lock and then using the keyboard config to map to power button to 2 actions:

1. Run Program : Program Files\Lock\DeviceLock.exe
2. Power Management : Suspend Device

Hopefully this helps reduce pocket dialing. Note: Doing the mapping here will remove the "long key press power button invokes shutdown option" mapping. You'll need to remap that as well.
