I recommend taking a lot of time reading about the different ROM's and use Google and the search tool. almost every subject you can think of is in this Forum already and to save your self from flames like creating topics "What ROM should I pick" as there are a ton out there and Honestly the best way to find out what ROM will work for you is to just try a few.

Just Noticed a lot of New people lately and don't want to sound negative. we where all the new guy at one point. that and the fact that His post was readable. there has been some pretty horrible post's lately.

ifyoure looking to change the icons assigned programs (like you see in the Start Menu and the Home tab) you can use a program like CSMI or reStart. you can also do the regedits manually but thats very tedious...

ill edit later with links to CSMI and reStart.

just a note, but you need a 6.5 or 6.5.x ROM to use these.
