HTC Touch Pro2 Handwriting Recognition for WinMo 6.5
Ever since I upgraded to Sprint WinMo 6.5, I received "unsupported device" when trying to install the official HTC Transcriber cap for hand writing recognition. a member at xd-developers, "ScottSNX", modified the original HTC Transcriber for WinMo 6.5. It works for my Sprint WinMo 6.5. His post is #28 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...=605586&page=3.

ScottSNX's cab worked awesome! Being able to use the stylus to enter text via block recognizer is so much faster than using either the on-screen or slide-out keyboards. So happy! Thanks ScottSNX!

Re: HTC Touch Pro2 Handwriting Recognition for WinMo 6.5
Maybe I'm just uncoordinated or have terrible writing but I've tried that block recognizer and also transcriber and found that my typical sentences look like this:
;"(;f)iib_"-dk';;'"xVm Which is not to bash the work of scottsnx or the guy who reposted the cab. I think it's awesome when people take the time to port stuff onto winmo, it's a lot of work and they usually don't ask for a single dime. It's just, I can't see how anyone who's given swype a fair shot will ever go back I haven't opened my phone for a month. |

Re: HTC Touch Pro2 Handwriting Recognition for WinMo 6.5
I spent all day trying to find this fix & follow the steps to get this to work but BIG Thanks to Weims09 for including your attachment to the cab file that "ScottSNX" modified b/c this was the only one that worked.
I never realized how much i relied on this most helpful feature. I had to get my htc touch pro replaced with the touch pro 2 which did not have this feature so for 1 whole day I cursed ever having to get my old phone replaced but now I have regained faith back into HTC once again and can comfortably fall back in love with this mobile device. I will say that I mainly use the Letter Recognizer but do not like to use the transcriber and with the Block Recognizer haven't a clue how that works... If someone can train me and possibly have some tips for how the Block Recognizer works I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks again. |
