It's pretty simple. Stick with the Diamond if you want to be able to put your phone in your pocket.  Diamond users are cooler anyway. :P

No one has mentioned this, so I will. The diamond has 256MB ROM whereas the TP2 has 512MB ROM. If you like loading custom ROM's, or really for any real purposes, the TP2 (like the TouchPro) is just spec'd enough better to make it easier to live with. On the Diamond, you have to be VERY careful about main memory. Not so much on the TP2. Any of the ROM's will work, but on the Diamond, OMJ is one of the few that watches the ROM usage to make it workable. IMO

And if the size is really an issue for you, and you have to replace the device (screen issue), then you could swap to a TouchPro, with ROM size like the TP2 has.

and then wait for the EVO, 6 more months and the TP2 will all about be abandoned IMO, just like the TP1 was, just wait and see..
