maximumpc tweeted that it would be 199$ at best buy, but the acccompanying article said 299, so im assuming mail in rebate, althoug best buy has been known to do the rebate instantly...

The reason I havn't moved yet, the Evo isn't out yet...thats the only thing holding me back....that and having a job to pay for it..

i just got my touch pro 2 in december. was thinking about getting a hero instead but i decided to go with the touch pro 2. now with evo coming out i will make that change...

I was thinking about this and if android is so great,why do they have to hack it like windows mobile? Hmmmm. Shouldnt it be good to go out of the box? Root or not to root?

You don't "have to", some people just think it's fun. The difference is, with Android you're barely missing any functionality if you decide not to root. With windows mobile, you HAVE to have a custom rom to even have a barely functional phone.

Wow what if that was the truth. I still have never flashed a custom rom and my phone turns on and I can make calls and surf the net and watch movies and send texts and..... My phone works for me. I will continue to be a Pocket PC . (didnt mean to rhyme)
