If this is not a new problem (following a new CAB install, for example), try changing the channel on your Wifi. I've had better luck with channels 1 and 6 than other channels with some devices...not sure if it's an interference issue in my neighborhood or the devices themselves.

How do I change the channel? Sounds pretty simple..

If your using Wireless N that could cause all sorts of problems if your using any encryption other than WPA2-PSK-AES. My laptop kept dropping connections like mad until i switched from WPA-PSK-TKIP. Something else to try!

Are you trying to connect to an ad hoc connection? They will show as being available but you cannot connect to them.
