Try start > settings > connections > wifi > advanced > power mode, make sure the slider is set all the way to the left to performance mode. I had that problem, it's trying to save battery and disconnects you if there is no lan activity.

If this is not a new problem (following a new CAB install, for example), try changing the channel on your Wifi. I've had better luck with channels 1 and 6 than other channels with some devices...not sure if it's an interference issue in my neighborhood or the devices themselves.
