Exclamation Unable to connect to My Phone service

After flashing to a new ROM, I am now unable to connect to My phone service - after uninstalling and reinstalling Microsoft my phone and a few reboots, after logging into my hotmail account, it says just that "Unable to connect to My Phone service"

I read online a suggestion to check to be sure the date (and year) was correct - it is. there was another suggestion to go here:

Start>settings>phone>services>scroll to time sync> get settings > check the box for time sync with mobile auto > and click update now.

I did that too and still not working. Is this just a temporary glitch? Or does anyone have a real fix that works?

Thanks

Re: Unable to connect to My Phone service

Had the same problem a couple of days ago. After talking to HTC and Verzion they found the problem. Call verzion and tell them that your phone can not authorize and they will remove your ESN and put it back in the system.

Re: Unable to connect to My Phone service

Well after hours of trying to figure this one out, I unplugged the phone from the USB connection to the computer and it works fine. So if anyone is having this problem right after a flash, be sure to unplug the phone before going to Microsoft my Phone.

Re: Unable to connect to My Phone service

yes, some programs using internet don't want to work while phone is connected via usb. maybe someone more knowledgeable can explain why.

Re: Unable to connect to My Phone service

I've had this problem before! Try either creating a sync partnership if you haven't, or deleting and re-creating it if you have. Some things don't work through your computer's internet unless you have a sync partnership.
