Touch Pro 2 custom rom USB to PC stopped working!

OK! I have searched for 3 days to try to find an answer to this. I know it must be simple but apparently I can't articulate the correct search key words to find it.

I am currently using Calkulins v1.6 WWE Rom

I have been flashing for some time via SD card. Recently I discovered that I have lost the ability to attach my Touch Pro 2 to my pc and it be recognized. The charging indicator comes on but no USB to PC popup. I have checked and unchecked the "Enable faster data synchronization", checked and unchecked "Ask me first about ...."

I have reinstalled the USB to PC Cab file.

I know there is a fix out there but for the life of me, I can't find it.

Any threads that I have missed?

p.s.

It is not the cable. Connected my wife's stock TP2 and it works like a charm.

check that your async is actually set to usb..... <been there done that>

i had the same problem ....i can't even get it to connect it my car stereo anymore ...it as to be something like a power setting... any chef care to input?

are you trying to flash to a other rom. if so try and put the phone in boot loader mode and try that. i would try and flash to a stock rom and see if it can connect that way

I am having the same problem on Mightyrom SE. I saw the update last week but cant get my phone to recognize that it is attached to a computer. It shows it is charging, but wont recognize the usb connection. I have tried all the above, plus tried it on an xp comp that used the older ActiveSync. nothing works. Bootloader doesnt recognize usb either.......

Got any canned air around? try blowing out the USB port on the phone. Sometimes on my phone the port gets full of dust and the PC won't conned.

I've had this happen before, and I fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling active sync

A simple search and you will find a dozen of post about usb not working. You will also get advice on how to fix it. Some work for some and other still remain defective. Some recommend hard reset, uninstall/install active sync, clean usb port, use different usb cables, uninstall/install Windows Mobile Device Center- if you have windows 7, uncheck Enable faster data sync, Internet Sharing-pc connection to your carrier and connect...

I tried all,none work for me. I had recently contacted HTC which won't admit they might have a defective USB port.
