Phone lags when playing music

Hey everyone. I'm running stock 6.5 with the tweak and cleanup cabs. I've found that when playing music through Sprint Music off my external memory, sometimes the entire phone will lock up for 10 seconds (music stops playing, phone becomes unresponsive) before it works again. Um... is that normal?
