Re: Overclock TP2 in WM?

ok im having a problem.. Overclocking works fine but when using Pocketshield, I get the SOD because pocketshield turns off the device if your phone wakes up from sleep and is idle without being unlocked.. there is no option to turn this off in pocketshield.. anyone know how i can fix this?? Thanks in advance

hmmm....strange.
only have 2 thoughts i guess.

a) maybe you have the OC too high (right on the edge)
b) maybe you have polling time too long
c) maybe your cpu is just one of them that doesnt like to be OC'ed

since you are getting SOD on sleep...maybe you should try the SetCpuSpeed tool instead of the script (for a test) and see if you have similar results ???

you could try reducing your polling time w/ the script first i guess.

ahhhhh

well - i think what we need to do is add a check to the script for pocketshield on/off. i dont have pocketshield though so dont know what registry keys we can use. can you check your registry and tell me the keys associated with pocketshield?

probably under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Pocketshield but I dont know for sure.

my suggestions above wont work if pocketshield is the only issue.

I'm having the exact same problem. Either I get a text message or phone call while I'm away and it locks itself back up into pocketshield before putting the phone to sleep which causes the SOD. Everything else works fine without SOD.

For now, I'm going to put it back to the "safe speed" (604mhz) so hopefully it'll prevent it from happening. I am using Setcpuspeed.

Here are the specs causing the SOD.
Overclock speed: 710mhz
Throttled speed: 604mhz
Polling: 200ms
