Re: Win 7 64 Ultimate- WMDC not working
I had the same problem. In the past some of the previous suggestions worked. This time I could not connect to two different Win 7 boxes. One 64 and the other 32. After working with HTC I went to Sprint. They exchanged the phone. They were also unable to connect. HTC said it is possible for power to still work through the port with the other aspects of the USB not working. Iif none of the other suggestions worked then goto your mobile phone store and have them confirm the status of the port.

Re: Win 7 64 Ultimate- WMDC not working
I have a similar issue that is driving me nuts!
I just got a new PC with Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate edition and I have been all over the internet trying to solve this. I can connect just fine but can not synchronize with Outlook 2007. I can however sync with eWallet which uses a different synchronization engine. I get the following error message: "Synchronization cannot be started because you are not able to log on to the network and access information" What I have tried: I have uninstalled and re-installed WMDC twice now. Dissabled my firewall to make sure it wasn't blocking WMDC. Unchecked "Enable faster data synchronization". I have tried many other small tweaks found during my many searches (it seems that this has been a problem for quite some time - as far back as Outlook 2000). With all of the above I have restarted both the Phone and the PC. When I click on the "view sync errors" it says: "Exchange ActiveSync encountered an error. If this condition persists please contact your system administrator. I don't know if it matters, but I don't use an Exchange server - all of my email accounts are pop 3 accounts. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, gadget1

Un Fricken Believable!
I set up my link shortcut to WMDC to run as administrator and the problem is solved! Even though I have my login set up with administrator priveledges. gadget1 |
