I personally use Slide2UnlockPro on my diamond. I like it because it gives just the basic features of s2u2 but only uses about 500kb of ram where s2u2 uses up to 4mb. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles but it allows you to use gifs and has the clock and notifications at the top.

Re: Looking for a device lock......

Anyone else trying the new pocketshield-proximity version (standalone)? I'm giving 1.1.0.1 a whirl to see how it works. I'm always nervous about testing new locks, curious if anyone else is trying it out.

Edit: still has some bugs...it's possible to make pocket calls in very rare circumstances and there's some weirdness with the option to block hardware keys during a call (also blocks the soft key).

Re: Looking for a device lock......

I was wondering if there is a program (any of the above) that locks you out permanently if you miss the pin code say 10 times? On the hard disk encryption I use, you get 15 tries, then it is curtains for the hard disk and you have to reinstall. This would obviously be of use if the phone is lost with a small quick say 4-digit PIN on it.

PS The locker I use if just this simple one, which I think is a variant of the standard and maps to the left soft key.

Look for Crimson Lock for a more secure locking solution.
