Swype/Sprint 6.5 stock Rom

Sorry if this has been posted. Couldn't Need some help.

I Have the stock 6.5 Rom for sprint.

I tried installing Swype for the 1st time. Had it for years but never installed.

It is ok, but now the different virtual keyboards I have won't work. I've even uninstalled Swype. Now whether installed or uninstalled, no matter which stock virtual keyboard I choose, it only will display the Phone Keypad.

Is there a registry edit or fix someone knows of?

I had my phone set up perfectly. I really don't want to have to start all over from scratch setting things up the way I like.

I.E. My start menu settings. That's one of the only thing's I'm not feeling about 6.5 customization. The start menu!

Doubt you've had it for YEARS...but try installing a older version or swype...the one i use works perfectly

As you are entitled to your opinions/DOUBTS, chronologically speaking from 3/31/2010, this link (http://www.swypeinc.com/news.html) this would be < than 1 yr but not necessarily 2 hence the term yrs....

but I do appreciate the information.

Anybody else got any other solutions? Installed this version of Swype, and I still don't have the stock virtual keyboard to display. Only the Swype one and the Window's Phonepad. When I choose Compact QWERTY or Full QWERTY, it will only display the Window's Phonepad and the keyboard to use.

Basically, I'm stuck now between Swype KB or Windows Phonepad KB when Swype is installed. Or Just the Windows Phonepad KB when Swype is uninstalled.

Dunno, I didn't have that prob with Swype. There is a cab floating around for certain issues with the KB. When I installed Goodthings2life's cab I had this problem with my keyboard. It had no spacebar or would do weird things. I installed the following cab (fixstuckTP2keyboard.cab) and it solved my issues. Do a search for it and see if it helps your issue?

Thats why i emphasized "YEARS". When you say years that suggesting 3-4 years, when you actually mean 2 years(which its not even been that long) you say a couple of years. In this world of technology you can't be so general with things buddy.

ifiwasperfect, I'm not gonna E argue with you. Re read what I said. You ASSumed 3 - 4 yrs. I'm removing the me portion of the word. Fact remains whether generalized or not is I've had proggy for a long time! Regardless of over a yrs, or flat out lie of 9 yrs and now a problem with it.

The boards weren't designed for one to start out 'Chapter 1, verse 1 blah blah blah.
