#777 error on 6.5 sprint TP2 stock rom

Is anyone getting an error of #777 connection error that they notice when you shut off the phone? This is on a stock rom 6.5 sprint TP2.

mine started doing that too right after the update. it only does it douring shut down.

If its only happening during shut down then its no big deal i would think. if i'm right then the error has to due with your data connection not being able to connect. which is probably because your phone is shutting down so its turning off your connection to internet and phone calls. i wouldn't worry about it until it happens when your trying to connect.

But your data works fine otherwise? I doubt it, but my only suggestion is to update the profile

I would assume that if you shut your phone off while data is active/connected it will immediately disconnect it would cause the error to pop up since your phone dials #777 when it uses data. I have seen this a few times on the Touch Pro and don't think it is an issue at all.

The #777 notice happens randomly for me. I've tried disabling everything but no go. My wife who runs the older ver6 rom doesn't get it.

Ive been getting the 777 before and after the update. The 777 shows up randomly even from waking up from a soft reset sometimes. It also shows up when hard resetting.

The #777 is not an error, it's more or less a notification that your phone has dropped the data connection to the carriers network. Basically your phone is a modem, and it dials #777 to connect to the data network, if your phone decides to drop it for some unknown reason, it will pop up that message and connect to the server. I believe there is a cab that hides the notice, just do a search on the website and I bet you something will come up.


If you call into your carriers Tech Support they will tell you the same thing...I noticed this popup on my old Touch Pro and called Sprint about it....they told me it's just the phone connecting to there data network server....

I didn't update to Sprint's official, but I notice that I am getting those almost constantly when connected to my car's bluetooth.

mine was doing the same thing... here is how i fixed mine... go to settings and then update profile and then update prl... now it works fine. Try it and let me know how it works!
