question about default wm6.5 screen lock slider

Im now sure if it has been posted already but I would like to know if there is a way to make the wm 6.5 lock slider work automatically like when the screen goes dark and I would like to know if there is a way i could add it as a soft key for the home page instead of the programs page

I have seen "Lock" as a softkey, I forget where. There are registry edits you can do to change your softkeys, and configurators you can download, too. Lists of useful registry edits are everywhere, including Wikipedia.
