I doubt if this is the problem. I am using sprint 6.5 stock ROM and there is HTC task Manager and still have this problem.

BTW, if, may be there is HTC TM in Sprint 6.4 Stock, how can I uninstall it? No Stock programs show up in the remove programs.

I just got brand new TP2 on 4/6/10 and installed win 6.5 and 2-4 times a day I have to do soft reset because phone does not wake up from "sleep mode".

WTF there is no fix for this!?!?

EDIT: when you upgrade to sprint 6.5 stock did you install a task manager cab? it's that drop down list that was use to be found at the top right corner of the home screen like it had on the 6.1 Rom? because that's lacking on the 6.5 stock rom. when i install that cab i soon experience that sleep mode problem. but when i remove it followed by a soft reset my issue has been resolve for the time being. it's only been a few hours since i removed it and i have not experiencing that problem since then and i am now using SenseUI because it's the best interface imo.

Use Action screen.. Allows you to soft reset, turn off and other use full shortcuts

Same thing here... Happens over 80% of the time when I use wifi router and then use Psshutxp to turn the screen off. Can't narrow it down as the sole cause though because it happens sporadically all the time and most annoyingly when I get a phone call and can't see the caller ID because the screen doesn't wake!

I think Action screen is good have, but its pointless when my phone don't want to wake up. Until then, I hope one of the registry gurus can find a tweak/fix

this has occured (for me) completely stock...even after hard resets, soft resets. so i just reinstalled the programs i like and deal with this annoyance when it pops up. and thil all started right after upgrading to 6.5. phone never done this while on 6.1 since i got it in november. this latest incident while trying to wake it (pulled stylus/slide keyboard/button presses) tried for 5 minutes with no luck. Hooked up to pc got orange led, tried power button/slide keyboard couple times-nothing. then pulled stylus and immediatley woke up...will try this again next time it happens to see if it wakes up instantly. soo frustrating.
