How do I make the suggestions or word completions in XT9 better?

I have the 6.5 Sprint rom installed with no tweaks to it. Back when I had the 6.1, the xt9 suggestions were good and I was happy with it, but I absolutely hate the 6.5 xt9 settings. Any help is much appreciated.

I also dont want to install all of GT2L's tweaks because I dont like some of the settings.

install Swype...

1. its more fun
2. it looks cool
3. you will eventually text faster than you do now
