Facebook Help for 6.5 Sprint Rom

Sorry if this is posted elsewhere. I couldn't find anything on it.

I've upgradred to Sprint 6.5 rom. And I notice FB is already in it. But the verion of it is V1.007.

I have the cab file for Facebook 1.1.0.17. But every time I try to install to SD card, it fails and says the program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions.

I would prefer it on card and not device. Any help on getting it to the card would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

There are only 2 versions that exist

1.1.0.14, and


1.1.0.17

this is not true. there was 1.0.0.0, 1.0.0.7 (called version 1.1), and 1.1.0.14 (called 1.2), and 1.1.0.17 (an updated version of 1.2)

to the OP: why install it to storage card? if you install it to main memory, it will just overwrite the current version and not take anymore storage space than is already taken

if it's saying you don't have sufficient privileges, try installing sdkcerts or shaggylive's htc cm killer... not saying it's guaranteed to work, but i suppose it can't hurt to try

Uniq 1 I installed this over the top of the stock FB app with no issues man. I did have sdkcerts installed prior. I dunno if that mattered or not though.

I have the same issue but what i did was to installe the version from the market place and that will overwrite the original without a problem. BTW the marketlace had the latest one

I wound up having to hard reset because of so other issues. Now it lets me install onto card.
And to Strra, I just like to have as much room as possible on main memory. Just my little hang up.

When I had TP1, and got the facebook app, since it didn't come preinstalled on the phone I was able to simply install onto SD card. Was just trying to get the same effect.
