why does opera work better on the iphone than WM6.5?

Ok call me a noob but I need to figure out what is the difference between the opera that is on the 6.5 and the opera mini now???? I mean the opera mini is super fast while the other opera is slow??? What advantage does the other opera have over the mini???? If they can both view the same things then why not just choose the mini??? Can someone clarify what is what???

Opera Mobile is a full featured browser that supports javascript and plugins while Opera Mini doesn't. Like if you wanted to do a search on the forum and you hover over the search a little box appears well that would only happen in Opera Mobile not in mini. There are other differences as well but i'm od lazy.
